Each month we select two high-achieving, well-rounded high school seniors to commend and award. 
Chagrin Falls High School: Henry Gleeson & Kenston High School: Hannah Fender
Chagrin Falls High School: Henry Gleeson  
Henry's awards include Tiger of the Semester, Honor Roll, and a Varsity Letter in Cross Country. He's also in the Jazz and Marching Bands. Outside of school, Henry delivers food to the elderly and homeless through the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging. Henry's accelerated AP classes have included: World History; Seminar; US History; Language; Government; Music Theory; Biology; Statistics; and Psychology. Henry plans to major in Architectural Engineering in college.
Kenston High School: Hannah Fender
The Chagrin Valley Rotary Club selected Kenston High School senior Hannah Fender as February Student of the Month.

Hannah maintains a 4.468 GPA. In 2017, she received recognition as the Ohio Middle Level Association Female Student of the Year. She has earned an academic letter receiving class level honors in Science, English and Spanish. She also received her seal of biliteracy in Spanish.

Hannah has played both soccer and softball throughout high school. She lettered in softball as a freshman and was named captain of the JV soccer team for two years.

She is also involved in Kenston Center Stage and works on plays, musicals and middle school productions, utilizing her talents on the soundboard and backstage. She is an active member of the National Honor Society and participated in the Speech and Debate team.

Hannah is involved in her church, participating in youth group activities and planning retreats outside of school. She is also part of the Students for Life Committee.

Hannah is undecided about the college she will attend, but she plans to major in psychology to become a child psychologist and eventually a motivational speaker.
