Awards:

My junior year of high school, I achieved my Girl Scout Gold Award for implementing a composting bin for my high school kitchen facilitated by student volunteers. In 2019, I received the Golden Shoe Award for heightened perfonnance in Cross Country. I lettered in Academics in 2021. My senior year, I competed at state, and the Kenston girls team won second in Ohio for Division II. In 2022, I was awarded the Scholar Athlete on the Cross Country Team. I have received the President’s Award for Educational Excellence every year for having over 250 service hours and good grades. In 2022, I received the AP Scholar with Honors Award for passing and exceeding on Advanced Placement tests. I earned Departmental Academic Awards in Algebra, Geometry, and Modem Conflicts.

Club Membership & Sports:

1 am the student president of the Giving Garden Club at Kenston High School. 1 am also the secretary of the Envirothon Club, where students do the school recycling. Sign Language and French Club have enriched my knowledge about the world at school. For the past four years 1 have run varsity on the cross country team. Being a part of the National Honors Society has connected me with the community. For my National Honors Society project, I implemented an herbal sensory garden. I have volunteered at events for the Bainbridge Civic Club, Chagrin Falls Park Community Center, Middle Bass Island Camp Create, Holy Angels Church, and more.

School Activities:

I am currently working with a friend to install a butterfly garden at school as part of an extension to Garden Club. We plan to create a nice place to sit in nature along with giving environmental students an area to annually release the butterflies they grow. Working with the Envirothon Club Leaders, I set up fun activities for elementary students on America Recycles Day. Currently, I am working with the Envirothon Club to fundraise for free tree saplings to give out on Earth Day at Kenston.

Activities Outside of School:

Since last year, I have worked as an associate at Morning Song Gardens, a natural skin care product business. Recently, I have been accepted to work at Alpine Valley as a Ski Instructor for this upcoming winter season, and I have been skiing since I was three years old. I have taken piano lessons for ten years, which provided me the opportunity to substitute as the lead pianist at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. I sing with the Holy Angels Young Adult Chorus, and volunteer as a cantor. I enjoyed playing on the Holy Angels Church Softball team, and loved bonding with the Girl’s Fiat Group at church. 1 have been a Girl Scout since kindergarten, and traveled to Switzerland and Italy with the Northeast Ohio Girl Scout Travel Troop after three years of fundraising.

College Plans:

I plan to attend Francsican University of Steubenville as an undecided major, but I aspire to study philosophy, theology, and catechetics.
